where elegance and history meet in Niagara-on-the-Lake

Stroll back through history in Niagara-on-the-Lake, often called the loveliest town in Ontario.  Within minutes, you can be walking a trail on the Niagara Escarpment or waiting for the curtain to rise in one of the greatest theatres in North America. Take a carriage ride through the Old Town or enjoy a round of golf at North America's oldest golf course. For the more adventurous, enjoy an exciting jet boat ride up the Niagara River. Stroll along the tree lined streets of Niagara-on-the-Lake's Heritage District and you're just steps away from eclectic shops, a museum with an exceptional collection of Canadian antiquities, art galleries and fabulous restaurants.

There's something to captivate everyone's interest, all in the stunningly beautiful setting of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Arts & Culture

Each year, the Shaw Festival Theatre welcomes theatre-goers from around the world with a repertoire that ranges from provocative dramas to hot-blooded musicals. The Shaw Festival presents plays in three distinctive theatres: the Festival Theatre, the Shaw's flagship theatre, the historic Court House Theatre where The Shaw first began performing and the Royal George Theatre, modeled after an Edwardian opera house. All theatres are only a block or two from Copper Lane. For more information, please visit www.shawfest.com.

An abundance of fresh local ingredients, creative and passionate chefs, award winning wines and a focus on innovative seasonal menus have made Niagara-on-the-Lake a world-class culinary destination.

Whether you're looking for an intimate, memorable dinner; great bistro food or comfort pub fare or we know you'll find something to suit your tastes. We are happy to make reservations on your behalf.

The northern terminus of the Niagara River Recreation Trail is at Fort George. Used as a walking, cycling and rollerblade path parallel to the Niagara River, you can travel 56 kms south to Fort Erie.

Wineries

Nestled below the Niagara Escarpment amidst a landscape of vineyards and orchards are the more than 20 wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake, all within 15 minutes driving. This area stretches to the picturesque Niagara River Parkway (the drive that Winston Churchill called one of the prettiest in Canada) and the shores of Lake Ontario.
